Born and raised in Tunis, Tunisia, Mourad started djing in the mid-eighties. His mixing style and musical knowledge have taken him all over Europe and all the way to Asia. DJ Mourad plays a blend of Detroit techno and deep house. His sets are known for being diverse and highly loaded with soul and funk. He has emerged as a serious force within Detroit Techno circles despite living in Sweden.

In simple words, what Mourad has done can be represented not only with his Detroit influenced productios, but for the big names he has worked alongside. Djing or collaborating on productions with names such as Larry Heard, Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills, Alton Miller, Aaron Carl and Javonntte, to name a few.
