There are a bunch of things to say about Jon Dixon’s career, a very talented artist who has found his musical love between two different genres and the beauty connection that exists between them, Jazz and Techno. As a Jazz artist, Jon has played with The Detroit Symphony Civic Jazz Orchestra and has had the opportunity to play for/with legendary musicians such as Chick Corea (†), Jeff Hamilton and Robert Hurst, to mention a few. In addition, he teaches multiple group piano classes at the Michigan State University Community Music School. In the electronic music field, Dixon has had the chance to perform/record with Artists/Bands such as Galaxy 2 Galaxy, Interstellar Fugitives, Amp Fiddler, Jeff Mills, Mike Banks, Derrick May, Kenny Dixon Jr., Carl Craig, and more in the U.S. and abroad. Jon started his own label 4EVR 4WRD (Forever Forward) to focus on making electronic music fused with elements of Jazz. In Jon Dixon’s words: "I feel that it is important for me as a musician to not only continue the rich culture and history of both jazz and electronic music but to also use my knowledge, theory, and experience to combine the two and take both genres to the next level!".
